CensusAtSchool 17 Results (2017/2018) Print

From an estimated 357,000 secondary school students, 2,253 (0.6%) students completed the Phase
17 questionnaire of the CensusAtSchool survey. It was available between September 2017 and August 2018.
The questionnaire covered a variety of topics ranging from FIFA World Cup, students' trust in the media to
dietary habits.

CensusAtSchool 16 Results (2016/2017) Print

From an estimated 352,000 secondary school students, 3,471 (1.0%) students completed the Phase 16 questionnaire of the CensusAtSchool survey. It was available between September 2016 and August 2017. The Phase 16 questionnaire covered a variety of topics including:

  • UN Sustainable Development Goals
  • The level of recycling in households 
  • The weight of school bags.

As a result, CensusAtSchool has featured questions directly linking to these events such as questions on fitness, health and important dates in history. CensusAtSchool 15 (2015/2016) Print

GPO RisingAs we enter the centenary year of the 1916 Easter Rising we have decided to include a few questions for the 2015/16 Questionnaire on history. Have you ever visited a historical site relating to Irish events for the period 1912-1922? Can you identify some of the signatories of the Proclamation of Independence? But we’re not completely confined to the past as we also have questions about social media usage and sport.  So lots of potential to collect and examine class data on the past and the present.
