How does it work?
Decide which year of the project is most suitable by browsing the questionnaires for each of the year listed in the dropdown below.
You may input data through the online questionnaires, which can be accessed in this section – you will need to have registered before completing this.
Finally, you may retrieve your classes’ data from the ‘Get Data’ section. It will be a downloadable CSV file – and then you can get on with some analysis!
Teachers wishing to use CensusAtSchool with their classes need to register with us first. We are working with Scoilnet Accounts to provide this service.
Registration provides teachers with a personal username and password and using these details they can log-in to the CensusAtSchool site and retrieve the data that their classes’ have inputted in their questionnaires. Teachers must have a valid Teaching Council number to register.
If you have any queries about registration, email us at email@example.com
The CensusAtSchool initiative is still going ahead this year online. The CensusAtSchool initiative is an exciting way for teachers to enhance students awareness and importance around the national census while also providing an opportunity for learners themselves in participate in their own version of a census. The CensusAtSchool 2020-2021 questionnaire questions are tailored to suit the interests of post-primary students and will provide your class with the opportunity to gather, handle, and analyse raw data on topics related to internet access and devices, home-schooling, assessment, travel to school, politics and lockdown pastimes.
It is crucial that all students enter the correct teacher username when completing the questionnaire in order to download the class data effectively. Teachers are able to download their class responses after the class completes the online questionnaire in the Get Data section of the website.
