House Prices by Eircode

The CSO Data Visualisation tool provides everyone with easy access to valuable information regarding the residential property market in a given area. To use it, people can enter the first three characters of their Eircode or type in the name of their area. They can then compare the average price of residential property sold in their area over the last 12 months with the national average price.

Maths teacher, James Carroll, has created some lesson activities to accompany the online CSO data tool as follows;

1. Searching for Your Area
2. Compare the Median price of residential properties in your area to the National Median price of residential properties
3. Comment on the Distribution of Buyer Types in Your Area Using the Pie Chart that was Generated
4. Comment on the Trend in Volume of Sales by Dwelling Status from January 2010.
